ARP - Architecture Research Practice
ARP – Architecture Research Practice is a young, award-winning practice based in Athens and Antiparos, Greece, founded in 2014 by Argyro Pouliovali. ARP strives for conceptual clarity by distilling architecture down to the essentials; light, air, proportions, and structure, with a focus on locality and passive design. ARP's work has been extensively published in print and online and has won awards and distinctions, including DOMES Review. Each architectural project emerges as the sole solution to a multiplicity of questions. Architecture is the spatial potential that exists at the intersection of multiple disciplines, and it is in the role of the architect to reveal it.
Argyro Pouliovali (b. 1986) studied architecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) and the ETH Zurich as a visiting scholar. She holds a diploma in Architecture and Engineering from AUTH with honors. She completed her internship with Meili Peter Architekten in Zurich and worked with decaARCHITECTURE in Athens. She has led award-winning projects and proposals for international competitions and has participated as a team member in various exhibitions, including the 13th Venice Architecture Biennale. In 2014, she founded ARP.
